Vegan restaurants are very much popular in India. Vegan restaurants claim that they do not use any animal product other than milk, in their dishes. It is said that Vegan diet is the best throughout someone’s entire life. But a poor diet can lead to deficiency of vitamin B12, iron, vitamin D, calcium, iodine, and omega-3 fatty acids.
In India, vegan restaurants are very popular as two major religions; Jainism and Buddhism discard the use of any animal product. Also, some of the sections of Hindus are strict vegans.
It is said that vegan diet helps in balancing the whole ecosystem, as animals are not killed. This is also a reason for which, many people in the US and Europe in turning out to become vegans.
